Begelly Kilgetty Community Association

The Community Association was formed to promote local events and issues in Kilgetty and Begelly.  Made up of local residents, the Committee meets on the last Thursday in every month, and welcome visitors.  The present Secretary is Margaret Moffat, who can be contacted on 01834 811194.

The main Committee is divided into smaller groups for individual projects, and includes the Environmental Group which holds plants and nurtures the village flower beds and has created a Community Garden, which they maintain for all to enjoy.  The group also runs the Kilgetty in Bloom Competition every summer for local gardeners and hold litter picks through the village when necessary.  The Social Group organises events such as the highly popular Bull Dog classic car run and Village Teas at the annual Fun Day (organized by Kingsmoor Sports Club), Quiz evenings and at Christmas, the Mince Pies and Music afternoon for older residents.  The Committee also have raised funds to add the swings to the  children's playground.  There is also a trim trail in the area behind the 'green fence', which is also a pleasant place to take a stroll.

The Centre has two halls  which can be hired very reasonably for parties, meetings and other social events.  Phone Kathy Skelton 01834 813331 for bookings.
