The villages of Kilgetty and Begelly are situated approximately 5 miles north of Tenby, close to the seaside villages of Saundersfoot, Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth and the coastal path.. They are within half hours drive of the towns of Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Pembroke and Pembroke Dock or are within a short drive of the lovely views of the Presceli Hills.
Kilgetty has a good range of shops, including a supermarket, grocery shop, chemist and gift shop, curtain specialist shop, car salesroom, car accessory and bicycle shop, hairdresser and barber. There is also a fish 'n' chip shop, Chinese take-away, Indian restaurant and take-away, a public house, a cafe and sweet shop. Begelly has a bakery and two garages.
Accommodation is available at Manian Lodge, Begelly Arms, B & B guest houses and caravan sites.
The joint villages and Reynalton are looked after by Kilgetty Begelly Community Council and there is a flourishing Community Association, members of which keep the village flowerbeds colourful in summer. They also maintain a Community Garden, which is a pleasant place to sit. A recent addition is the the children's play area and adults trim trail.

The Church of St. Mary's, Begelly, is a little gem, nestling in the trees above Kilgetty. It is often open to visitors on Tuesday afternoons or by arrangement with Church Wardens.
Kilgetty/Begelly can be reached quite easily from the M4, following the road to Carmarthen and then on the A40 and A477 Tenby road. It also has a station with trains from London via Swansea and national coaches stop at the Community Centre. Local buses run through the villages to all local areas.
